This project environment is the source of an online publication featuring objects designed by designers who envision how things might be instantiated in the next decade, within a context of digital being combined with generative AI capabilities.

The exhibition was part of TH/NGS 2024, held on 13 December 2024 at Volkshotel Amsterdam, celebrating 10 years of ThingsCon. It also traveled to other locations in 2025, first at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences Master Digital Design on 14-15 April, and at Waag Futurelab on 14 June.

Part of this website is the brief for the participating designers and teams. We have officially kicked off the project via a special event in Eindhoven on 23 October 2024. The design brief is based on the reflections of the selection of future designers and thinkers, invited by ThingsCon. You will find the design brief and the reflections on this webspace.

On 6 December, three judges convened and decided that the 14 valid projects were worthy of a place in the exhibition. Some interesting themes emerged from the various projects, which could serve as a starting point for future iterations, particularly in terms of generative approaches.

At the exhibition from 14 to 15 April, we displayed 11 prototypes. For the Hyperlink edition, we made a selection with Waag, and chose six projects.
